Introduction

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Software Engineering (SE) is reshaping the entire lifecycle of software development, from requirement analysis and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance. AI technologies empower SE with intelligent automation, predictive decision-making, and adaptive optimization capabilities, while SE provides systematic methodologies and reliable frameworks for the efficient development and scalable application of AI systems. This track focuses on the frontier cross-research and practical innovations at the intersection of AI and SE, aiming to gather global academic achievements and industrial practices that address key challenges in intelligent software development.

Awards

ICI 2026 will present Best Paper, Best Student Paper, and Outstanding Contribution awards. All accepted papers will be considered based on originality, technical depth, presentation quality, and research impact.

Manuscript Guidelines

  • Submissions must be written in English.
  • Maximum length: 14 pages (single-column) or approximately 6–7 pages in IEEE double-column format.
  • Use the Springer LNCS template: ICI 2026 Manuscript Templates (Springer LNCS Format)

All accepted and presented papers will be published in Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series and indexed by EI Compendex.
More than 30 high-quality papers will be recommended for SCI-indexed journal special issues after further revisions, including:
